You know when you have those times in life when deep down inside you know that God is in control. He sees the big picture that we can not see, but you just need a little reminder. I have been having some of those days. We are trying to sell the house we lived in up north before my husbands job was cut. In the last couple of weeks we have had to replace the septic system and the hot water heater. Now our renters have told us they will be moving at the end of the month.
I know that God is in control, He has done so much for us since we have had to move. The verses that the Lord gave me when we found out we had to move were:
For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord.
For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.
I go to these verse often. I love how God will bring a verse to me or how the message in church will have just what you need. Yesterday, God used the saying on the front of our church bulletin. My husband was looking at the bulletin and leaned over and pointed to the bottom of the bulletin, this is what it said....
The Lord Guides and Provides ~ He is all we need!
We both smiled when reading it. I thought thank you Lord, even the bulletin can be used to give me a gentle reminder that God is in control and will take care of us.
